At the BEEpilot a multisite team work on different topics related to the Building Architectural Engineering field.

SALVALAI Graziano, Ph.D. Eng.

SALVALAI Graziano is Associate Professor at Politecnico di Milano, ABC department, where he teaches the courses of Energy Efficient Buildings and Technology of Building Components. He is the Scientific Director of the BEEpilot. He is the scientific director of several funded projects and lab, and author of more than 100 publications. His research focuses on innovative construction techniques, on the building-systems integration and on its control through energy simulation tools.

SESANA Marta M., Ph.D. Eng.

SESANA Marta Maria is Assistant Professor at University of Brescia, DICATAM deptartment, where she teaches the course of Building Architectural and Performance Engineering. She is the Deputy director of the BEEpilot. She is author of several publications on deep renovation for existing building, modeling and simulation and human-centered sustainability, regulations and tools for innovation, and sustainability assessment and energy efficiency for the built environment.

BRUTTI Diletta, Eng.

BRUTTI Diletta is a Ph.D. Student at Politecnico di Milano, ABC department. Her thesis and research focuses on the testing, monitoring and upscaling of human-centric and energy-efficient dry-layered envelope solutions with the supervision of Prof. Salvalai and co-supervision of Prof. Sesana. As part of the Building Energy Efficiency (BEE) Team, she collaborates on both research and lab activities.

MARRONE Grazia, Eng.

MARRONE Grazia is a Ph.D. Student at Politecnico di Milano. Her thesis and research focuses on the analysis and implementation of integrated technological solutions for energy-efficient building envelopes based on industrialized metal sandwich panels. As part of the VELUXlab Team and the Building Energy Efficiency (BEE) Team, she collaborates on both research and lab activities.

ISACCO Ilaria, Eng.

ISACCO Ilaria is a Research Fellow at Politecnico di Milano. She is part of the Building Energy Efficiency (BEE) Team and, within that, she collaborates on both research and lab activities. The main focus of her activities is the analysis of strategies and technologies for the reduction of risks related to the urban heat island effects in the built environment.

DELL’ORO Paolo, Eng.

DELL’ORO Paolo is a Research Fellow at University of Brescia, DICATAM department, where he also provides support for teaching activities in the course of Building Architecture Engineering . He is part of the BEEp UNIBS team of prof. Sesana, and under the EU project MEZeroE, he collaborates with the BEE Team of Politecnico di Milano for the applied research activities of the BEE pilot. The main focus of his activities is the analysis of envelope solutions under real application on lab and simulation analysis and LCA analysis.

VILLA Roberto, Eng.

VILLA Roberto is an Research Fellow at Politecnico di Milano. He is part of the Building Energy Efficiency (BEE) Team and, within that, he collaborates on both research and lab activities. The focus of his activities is the creation of a digital model that consider the occupants to predict and improve the management of the built environment.

GADUSSO Francesca, Eng.

GADUSSO Francesca is a Ph.D. Student at Politecnico di Milano. Her thesis and research focuses on analysis of the sustainability and resilience of alpine mountain huts for the development of a roadmap to guide sustainable mountain hut renovations and improve climate change adaptation in Alpine landscapes under the supervision of prof. Salvalai and co-supervision of prof. Sesana.  As part of the Building Energy Efficiency (BEE) Team, she collaborates on both research and consultancy activities.
